Neutral Colors
12/2/2019

The neutral color trend is so huge right now. And by neutral colors I mean “no color colors” like white, cream & khaki. I have to admit that I jumped on this trend train recently and I haven’t looked back. There is something so fresh and clean about wearing these colors. And I really love how the simplicity always feels so sophisticated.
Once of my favorite ways to wear the neutral color trend is to combine a few shades together in one outfit – I love how it adds some great depth to the look. For this particular outfit, I paired a natural colored sweater from Zara with a simple white t-shirt that I snagged from my husband. Not so long ago I would have never put white and cream together but I adore how this color combo looks. The texture in the sweater works so well with the simple white tee..

If I really wanted to go full tilt neutral I would have worn some cream or black pants. But I really love the way the denim contrasts with the basic colors on top. I found these Wrangler jeans at a local thrift store recently – I think they were dead stock (meaning that they were vintage but never worn). They are the most beautiful shade of indigo. The bright blue definitely has more of a 70’s feel. And with a high rise and relaxed straight leg, they are completely on-trend!
The classic style of the Converse low-tops was the perfect way to finish this outfit. I just love how cool and understated the neutral color looks. It’s a nice change from all the chunky sole sneakers that have been so popular this year. I’ve been wanting a pair for a while and I love how they go with any outfit.

This look is so easy to put together and always feels so chic!
I’ve linked some great versions of all these pieces below, including lots of textured sweaters and 70’s-style jeans. And since these styles are such classics, I know you’ll wear them for years!
See you soon!
